When Herrin’s mom took off her bonnet after arriving at the studio I think I gasped. When I saw that adorable blonde hair I just fell in love and couldn’t wait to photograph her. Tack on her easy going, sweet sleepy demeanor and well, she made for an ideal session.
I love being able to photograph my birth clients newborn portraits, as even though it is only a week later, these tiny babies seem to grow and change so fast. Naomi was no exception. Gorgeous Naomi also had such an amazing personality. Whether asleep or awake she was just the sweetest, most content little girl. While we started out the session fast asleep she decided to wake up for a good portion of the session and was so alert and curious as to what was going on around her. Fortunately for us she did fall back asleep after a good feeding 🙂
From the moment we got Jack out of his car seat until the time he left, he demonstrated his easy-going personality. While he slept he was full of sweet smiles and he allowed to me to pose him effortlessly with only an occasional squeak here and there.
Little Aria has such a sweet personality and was a perfect little model for her newborn session. From her soft fine hair to her occasional gentle smile, she was a dream to photograph.
It seems as though lately I have had a lot of my “birth babies” (i.e., those little ones who I got to capture them entering this world) have been growing up so fast. Madelyn’s birth was an eventful one for me personally (as I ended up in the ER within hours of capturing her birth) but it was also a very fun and special time when I got to know her parents well. Even though her family is from Decatur, I loved that they made the drive to my studio for her newborn and 6 month sessions as well. For her 1 year session she was all smiles up until we brought out the cake. Needless to say, Miss Madelyn did not like getting her fingers dirty in the cake and thus wanted nothing to do with it. Despite that, we were able to capture some darling 1 year images.
