When we first moved to Springfield, IL, everyone told me that “everyone knows everyone.” I didn’t believe it. There were so many people out there and it certainly isn’t a small town. However, after being here for only 2 years, I am beginning to think that there is like a 3 degrees of separation from everyone in the area. Add in the fact that I have a 2 year old who takes swimming, gymnastics, music class, etc….well, the city is getting smaller.
When Paula first contacted me, I knew her name looked familiar. She said she was expecting and that she wanted to get some images of her 2 year old as well as some of her coming new daughter. When she mentioned her daughter’s name, it clicked. Charlotte & my daughter Josie were in music class together about a year ago. Ahhh…Springfield is getting smaller. She didn’t know that “Vicky, Josie’s mom” was the Victoria Kegg of Blue Daisy Art. I guess I better improve the marketing of my photography in social arenas 🙂
I was so excited when Paula said she was having another girl, as Charlotte is just an absolutely beautiful little girl. In addition, Paula has a close relationship with her sister and she had hoped to have two little girls of her own. On the evening we went out for their maternity & child session, the weather was just perfect. A little overcast and the sun peaking in an out. Perfect day to capture a glowing expectant mother and her cute 2 year old. Dad was happy to stand on the sidelines.
