Zach | Springfield IL Photographer

A few months ago I was delivering a canvas portrait  to a client at Memorial Hospital, where she works.  As we met near the lobby we starting chatting and a colleague of hers, Jenny walked by.  Jenny raved about my work and told me that her cousin was due with a baby and how I “had” to photograph he cousin’s baby.   Flash forward a couple months I get the e-mail from Jenny that her nephew Zach was going to be making his appearance soon.

Zach was a peanut, arriving a few weeks early he was only 5 pounds at birth.  It’s so funny to me how different newborns have such distinct personalities.  Zach was one of those guys that liked to be wrapped.  Even though it was 85 degrees in my studio (I keep it that warm for newborns) he still preferred being covered and any time I took the wraps off, he was not a happy camper.   Who can blame him though,  he didn’t have much weight to keep him warm!   Fortunately he finally went into the deep, deep sleep that I like and he allowed me to unwrap him.   While drifting off into his deep sleep though, he gave me a couple quick smiles here and there.  Love those little newborn smiles 🙂
